November 12, 2008 Board Meeting Minutes
The Town Board of Auburn met for their monthly meeting on November
12, 2008 at the Town Hall. The meeting was called to order by
Chairman Leo Zeman at 7 PM.. All were present plus Sam LaGesse and
Darlene Hass, who left at 7:10PM; and Rick, Jeanette and Adam Mikl who
left at 7:20 PM.
The minutes of the October meeting were read. A motion to approve
the minutes as read was made by Jay Sippy and seconded by Paul
Scheidecker. Motion carried.
On behalf of Bob Hass, Sam LaGesse raised the question as to if the
Town had any objections or regulations concerning Bob pursuing sand
mining. The Board response was that we currently have no
restrictions, but they must get final approval from the Chippewa
County.
Adam Mikl then approached the Board with the same question and he was
given the identical response.
After reviewing the Financial Report, and determining they will be
enough in the checkbook to cover the upcoming bills, Paul Scheidecker
made a motion that we do not cash any CD’s at this time. Jay Sippy
seconded the motion. Carried.
Jay Sippy then made a motion to approve the Financial Report and the
payment of checks # 7630-7656. Paul Scheidecker seconded the motion.
Carried.
Paul Scheidecker made a motion to rename CD # 955 ~ Fire and Rescue.
Leo Zeman seconded the motion. Carried.
Paul Scheidecker made a motion that we adopt Resolution 2008-01. Leo
Zeman seconded the motion. Carried.
A motion to adopt the budget which was approved at the
Budget-Hearing meeting of November 11, 2008, was made by Paul
Scheidecker and seconded by Jay Sippy. Carried.
A motion to buy a cab kit with heater for the F-10 International
skid-steer for $3,000.00 from Swoboda Implement of Bloomer, was made
by Paul Scheidecker and seconded by Jay Sippy. Carried.
After setting the agenda for the December meeting, Jay Sippy made a
motion to adjourn the meeting and Paul Scheidecker seconded it.
Meeting adjourned at 8:40PM.
