May 12, 2010 Board Meeting Minutes

The Town Board of Auburn met on Wednesday May 12. 2010 for their monthly meeting
at the Auburn Town Hall.
All were present plus, Lary Boese, Chad Philipps, Dennis Henry, who arrived at 7:10, plus Dean Becker, Clarence, Adam, Rick and Jeanette Mikl who all left at 7:45pm.
The meeting was called to order at 7:03 PM.
The minutes of the April meeting were read. Paul Scheiodecker made a motion to approve the minutes as read. Jay Sippy seconded the motion. Carried.
After auditing the bills and reviewing the financial statement Paul Scheidecker made a motion to authorize checks # 8048 – 8054 be paid, and the financial report be approved. Jay Sippy seconded the motion. Carried.
During public comment there was a discussion concerning the culvert on the driveway going back to Clarence Mikl’s land and where property lines are. Becker and Mikl were able to come to an agreement as to a place and a time to install the culvert.
Dennis Henry gave a report concerning the New Auburn Fire Department. The Fire Department feel they need a new building. There has been an offer to donate the land for it. The Board asked several questions concerning this need and feasibility of the idea.
The Mutual Aid agreement was signed by Leo Zeman
The Humane Society still does not have any answers concerning what a contract might cost for their services to our township, from their Board, but will keep us posted when they know more.
After setting the agenda for the June meeting Jay Sippy made a motion that we adjourn the meeting. Paul Scheidecker seconded it. Meeting adjourned at 8:24 PM.
