On July 29, 2009 the Planning Commission of the Town of Auburn met for their twentieth meeting. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P. M.
Members present were Paul Scheidecker, Lary Boese, Al Blaha, Wade Latz and Dennis Henry.Clyde Allison and Kevin Ludwigson were absent.Also attending were Attorney Randi Osberg and Jay Sippy.
The meeting began with a public hearing from 7:00 to 7:30, on the Town ordinance governing minimum land division requirements for the Town of Auburn. The issue before the commission was correcting the current ordinance that had been previously published incorrectly. The current ordinance required minimum lot size of five [5] acres with no limitations on number per forty [40] acres. A previous public hearing had determined that four [4], five[5] acre lots per forty [40] acres was to be the maximum. The Commission discussed a proposal to correct this oversight. No members of the public appeared before the Commission with any comments.
Paul Scheidecker made a motion to correct the land use division ordinance to reflect the previous public hearings decision. Land use division is to be governed by five[5] acre parcels and no more than four[4] parcels per forty[40] acres. Lary Boese seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously. The Commission will now send their recommendation to the Town Board for consideration.
At 7:30 the public hearing was closed and the Commission began their comprehensive plan meeting.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved by the Commission.
Randi Osberg reviewed with the Commission drafts ot the Intergovernmental Cooperation element and the Purpose of the Implementation element.
The next meeting and open house was scheduled for August 26, 2009 at 7:00 P. M.
After setting the agenda for the next meeting the meeting was adjourned at 7:50 P.M.
