ANNUAL MEETING MINUTES
2008
The Town of Auburn held their Annual meeting on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 with 15 people present. The meeting was called to order at 7:05PM, by Chairman, Leo Zeman.
The minutes of the 2007meeting were read. Alden Berg made a motion to apporvoe the minutes as read with a second by Wayne Pingel. Motion carried.
The financial report was reviewed. Al Blaha made a motion to approve the financial report. Paul Scheidecker seconded the motion. Carried.
The road work plans for this year were reviewed as well as the potential shed construction.
A motion to increase the Chairman's salary to $6,000.00 and the supervisors to $2500.00 each was made by Al Blaha and seconded by Jim Pingel. Motion carried.
The issue of snowplowing driveways was discussed. Wayne Pingel made a motion to leave it the way it is. Jim Pingel seconded the motion. A ballot vote was taken. The motion was voted down with 10 voting - NO do not leave the present snowplowing policy the way it is; to 3 who voted YES it should be left the way it is.
Al Blaha made a motion that we do not snowplow driveways at all. Jodi Scheidecker seconded the motion. Another ballot vote was taken. 10 voted YES - do not plow driveways at all. 2 voted NO. It was thereby decided that driveway snowplowing will no longer be offered as a service by the Town to its residents.
Gene Peterson made a motion to adjourn the meeting with a second by Wayne Pingel. Meeting adjourned at 8 PM.
