April 8, 2009 Board Meeting Minutes
BOARD MEETING MINUTES
On April 8, 2009 the Board of the Town of Auburn met for their monthly meeting. All were present plus Chad Philipps. At 7 PM Chairman Leo Zeman called the meeting to order.
The minutes of the March meeting were read. Paul Scheidecker made a motion to approve the minutes as read. Jay Sippy seconded the motion. Carried.
After auditing the bills and reviewing the financial report, Jay Sippy made a motion to approve checks # 7763 - # 7779 for payment and the financial report. Paul Scheidecker seconded the motion. Carried.
The question came before the Board concerning the use of the shop when renting the Town Hall. After some discussion, Jay Sippy made a motion that the shop not be available to rental groups because of lack of insurance, liability issues and safety. This motion was seconded by Leo Zeman. Motion carried.
The date and time of the Open Book and the Board of Review was set for Tuesday, May 12, 2009. Open Book will be from 4-6 PM, and Board of Review from 6-8PM. This was made into a motion by Paul Scheidecker and a second from Leo Zeman. Carried.
Leo Zeman made a motion that the Town hire Bob Wellner to do mowing this summer. Jay Sippy seconded the motion. Carried.
There was some discussion about the need to send postcards out to residents concerning the May 2nd dumpster day, and information concerning the need for first responders in our Township. These cards will be going out in the next week.
After setting the agenda for the May meeting, Paul Scheidecker made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Jay Sippy seconded it.. Meeting adjourned at 8:07PM.
