November 11, 2008 Budget Hearing Meeting
BUDGET HEARING MEETING The Board of the Town of Auburn met for their annual Budget-Hearing Meeting on November 11, 2008 at the Auburn Town Hall. The meeting was called to order at 7:09pm. Those present were Paul Scheidecker, Leo Zeman, Jay Sippy and Judy Misner. The minutes of the 2007 budget meeting were read. Jay Sippy made a motion to approve the minutes as read and Paul Scheidecker seconded the motion. Carried. Leo Zeman made a motion to change the levy from $110,000.00 to $111,500.00; and to also change the highway expenditures form $102,495.00 to $103,995.00. Jay Sippy seconded the motion. Carried. A motion to approve the budget for 2009 with the proposed increase of $1,500.00 was made by Jay Sippy and seconded by Leo Zeman. Carried. Paul Scheidecker made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Jay Sippy seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 7:28PM. Immediately following the Budget-Hearing Meeting, a special meeting to approve the levy and highway expenditures was called to order by Leo Zeman. A motion was made by Leo Zeman to set the levy at $111,500.00 and the highway expenditures at $103,955.00. Jay Sippy seconded the motion. Carried.
