August 14, 2007 Board Meeting Minutes
TOWN OF AUBURN BOARD MEETING MINUTES
The Auburn Town Board met for their monthly meeting on August 14,
2007 at 7pm,
at the Auburn Town Hall.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Leo Zeman at 7:10pm. All
were present
plus Clint Eriks and Jim Pingel who left at 7:30pm, and Dorothy
Conrad who arrived at
7:20pm.
The minutes of the July meeting were read. Paul Scheidecker made a
motion to ap-
prove the minutes as read. Leo Zeman seconded it. Motion carried.
Leo Zeman made a motion that we extend Clint Eriks' 2 building
permits for another 2 years
from '05 to '09 with no addtional fees. Paul Scheidecker seconded
the motion. Carried.
Jay Sippy made a motion to accept Clint Eriks new building permit.
Paul Scheidecker
seconded it. Motion carried.
Paul Scheidecker made a motion to accept Jim Pingel's building permit
for a deck. Jay
Sippy seconded the motion. Carried.
After the bills were audited, checks # 7290 - 7314 were authorized
for payment, and the
financial report approved with a motion by Jay Sippy and a second by
Paul Scheidecker.
Carried.
Paul Scheidecker made a motion to withdraw CD # 13092 before August
23, 2007 to be
put into the checking account. Jay Sippy seconded it. Motion
carried.
The Town letter was discussed. It was decided to include the
following information:
taxes will no longer be paid at the Treasurer's place of residence,
residents may now
call voicemail at the Hall for any Town business, dumpster date set
for Oct 6th, town
website address, and new rules for snowplowing driveways. The letter
will be finalized
at the next meeting.
The employee job description was put on hold until the next meeting.
After some discussion the following decisions were reached concerning
the Plan Commis-
sion's recommendations: 1). inspection fee should be $100
2). fine raised to $100
with a maximum of $2500
3). appoint inspector
who will not have the potential of being
laid off - for
unemployment reasons
The Town website is up and running as of last week. The address to
log on to the site is
www.townofauburn.net .
After setting the agenda for the September meeting, this meeting was
adjourned with a
motion by Paul Scheidecker and a second by Jay Sippy, at 10:36pm.
Motion carried.
