January 9, 2008 Board Meeting Minutes
BOARD MEETING MINUTES The Board of the Town of Auburn meet for their monthly meeting on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 7 PM. All were present with Paul Scheidecker arriving at 7:30 PM. Also present were Butch Paulson and Allen Waterhouse. The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM. The minutes of the December meeting were read. A motion to accept the minutes as read was made by Jay Sippy and seconded by Leo Zeman. Carried. Next Butch Paulson explained the Assessor error on Allen Waterhouse's taxes, that needed to be corrected. Paul Scheidecker made a motion that the Town pay Allen $222.86 to correct his 2007 tax error. Leo Zeman seconded the motion. Carried. The financial report was reviewed and discussed and bills audited. Paul Scheidecker made a motion to approve the financial report and authorize the payment of checks # 7400- 7422. Jay Sippy seconded the motion. Carried. The employee job description was discussed. It was decided that Jay Sippy would spend more time on developing the job description to bring to the next meeting. Since the Plan Commission has not been meeting since the last Board meeting, there are no new recommendations concerning ordinances or the Smart Growth plan. After setting the agenda for the February meeting the meeting was adjourned at 9:15 PM with a motion by Leo Zeman and a second by Jay Sippy. Motion carried. Submitted by: Judy Misner/Clerk Page 8
